The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has officially announced the results for the Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE) Internship Program 2025. The final list of selected candidates was published on April 16, 2025, on the official website of IITH – iith.ac.in.

This prestigious summer internship offers a valuable opportunity for students from various institutions across India (excluding IIT Hyderabad) to work under expert mentorship in cutting-edge research areas across disciplines.

Overview of IITH-SURE 2025 Internship Program

The SURE internship is aimed at encouraging undergraduate and postgraduate students from non-IIT Hyderabad institutes to gain exposure to the research environment of IIT Hyderabad. This year, 250 students have been selected, including 100 seats exclusively reserved for girls, making the program inclusive and gender-supportive.

Duration and Fellowship Details

The internship duration spans 1 to 2 months, scheduled tentatively between May 15, 2025, and July 14, 2025. Interns were allowed to choose their preferred duration: one month, one and a half months, or a full two-month engagement.

Each selected intern will receive a stipend of ₹7,500 per month, up to a maximum of ₹15,000 for two months. No additional financial benefits are applicable. Hostel accommodation is provided by IIT Hyderabad, but mess charges are to be borne by the interns.

Selection Process

The selection procedure involved a rigorous screening of online applications based on academic merit and achievements such as participation in Olympiads and national talent search competitions. Shortlisted candidates were interviewed by IIT Hyderabad faculty members through an online mode, and the final selections were made department-wise.
