There are seven vacancies available for the position of Young Professional-II (YP-II) at the ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (ICAR IIVR).

IIVR Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
(1) Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Botany, or Life Sciences with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a post-graduate degree with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and NET qualification.
- Experience: Preferably in molecular biology techniques and plant tissue culture.
- Age Limit: 21-45 years (as of the application date), with age relaxation as per government norms.
(2) Young Professional II (YP II)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Desirable Experience: Familiarity with NGS data analysis, molecular biology, and software such as MS Office.
- Age Limit: 21-45 years.
(3) Young Professional I (YP I)
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a certificate in CCC or ADCA and 1 year of work experience.
- Age Limit: 21-45 years.
(4) Field/Lab Assistant
- Essential Qualification: Graduation in any discipline with a diploma in computer applications and typing ability in Hindi and English.
- Age Limit: 21-45 years.
ICAR IIVR Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for these positions will be based on academic qualifications, written tests, and interviews. The weightage for each post is different:
- SRF, YP I, YP II: 50% academic score, 25% written test, and 25% interview.
- Field/Lab Assistant: 50% academic score and 50% interview.
Candidates with prior experience in ICAR schemes will be given preference. All applicants must appear in person for the interview.
IIVR Recruitment 2024 Walk-in Details
Interview/Examination etc., will be conducted through personal appearance at ICAR-IIVR, Varanasi. Eligible and willing candidates fulfilling the requirements may appear before the Selection Committee for Test/Interview etc., on 04 October 2024 at 10.00 AM at ICAR – IIVR, Varanasi.
Applicants need to bring all original documents for verification, including educational certificates, experience letters, and a medical certificate.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
