1. SOLDIER GD (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: Class 10 with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
In case of Grading System, must have grade which contains 45% in each subject. No percentage considered in case candidate has passed with higher qualification ie Class 12 and above.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-21 years as on 01/10/2017.
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (TECHNICAL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: Class 12 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years as on 01/10/2017.
3. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (AVN & AMN EXAMINER)
Educational Qualification: Class 12 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
OR
Three years Diploma in Engg (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science/ Electronics & Instrumentation) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute/ ITI.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years as on 01/10/2017.
4. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (NURSING ASSISTANT)
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject
OR
In case the candidate has a BSc Degree with (Botany/ Zoology/Bio-science) and English, stipulation of percentage in Class 12 is waived off. However, the candidate should have studied all the four specified subjects in Class 12 also.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years as on 01/10/2017.
5. SOLDIER CLERK / STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Examination Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce or Science). Should have secured 50% marks in each subject and 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12. Should have studied English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12 or Class 10 and should have secured min 50% marks in each of these subjects, whether studied in Class 12 or Class 10
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years as on 01/10/2017.
6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN
Educational Qualification: 10th Simple Pass/ ITI except for Mess Keeper and House Keeper, who may be 8th Simple Pass.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years as on 01/10/2017.
Note: Candidates must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and should posses valid document.
Physical Standards (for all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 169 cm (162 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm; Chest (expanded) — 82 cm; Weight — 50 kg and 48 kg for Soldier Tradesman (48 kg for ST candidates).
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Recruitment Rally, Physical Fitness Tests and Medical Test. Recruitment Rally will be held from 02/11/2017 to 11/11/2017 at RCTC Ground, Barrackpore.
Admit Card will be available on Indian Army site only after 18 Oct 2017
