Indian Coast Guard, under Ministry of Defence, is inviting application from the eligible candidates for posts of Navik (Domestic Branch). NAVIK (DOMESTIC BRANCH) 10TH PASS ENTRY FOR – 01/2017 BATCH COURSE COMMENCING FROM APRIL 2017

Educational Qualification: 10th Class with 50% marks (45% marks for sports person and wards of Coast Guard uniform personal deceased while in service).

 

Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-22 years as on 01/04/2017

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.

 

Physical Standards (For above posts):

Male Candidates: Height — 157 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — should be well proportioned; Chest (expanded) — by 5cm; Weight — Proportionate to height and age

Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination. Examination will be held at Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Gandhi Nagar.
