INDIAN NAVY INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 22 POSTS OF SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION OFFICER AS PILOT/ OBSERVER/ AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER FOR THE COURSE COMMENCING JUNE 2019. LAST DATE — 14/09/2018
NAME OF THE ENTRY & VACANCIES
1. Air Traffic Controller (ATC): 08 posts (Male or Female)
2. Observer: 06 posts (Male or Female)
3. Pilot (MR): 03 posts (Male or Female)
4. Pilot (Other than MR): 05 posts (Male)
Educational Qualification: Passed Engineering Degree (BE/ B.Tech / Integrated Course) in any discipline from a recognised university/ institute with at least 60% marks.
In addition, for ATC entry the candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and minimum 60% marks in English in class XII.
Candidates who are in the final year of Engineering Course are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Born between 02 July 1994 and 01 July 1998 (for ATC) & Born between 02 July 1994 and 01 July 1998 (for rest of the posts).
Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders having valid and current CPL issued by DGCA (India) and born between 02 Jul 1994 and 01 Jul 2000 can also apply for the posts of Pilot.
Only Unmarried Male & Female candidates are eligible to apply. The course is going to commence in the month of June 2019 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala.
Physical Standards:
(i) For Pilot/ Observer: Height — 62.5 cms
(ii) For ATC: Height — 157 cms (Male) & 152 cms (Female)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through SSB Interviews consisting of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception, Group Discussion Tests, Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests, Interview and Medical Examination. The Interview will be scheduled from November 2018 to March 2019 at Bangalore for Pilot & Observer candidates and at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam/ Kolkata for ATC candidates.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Navy — www.joinindiannavy.gov.in
