1. JUNIOR ASSISTANT (FIRE SERVICE)
No. of Vacancies: 147 Nos. (UR-92, OBC-11, SC-23, ST-21)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th pass and 03 years’ approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Fire with minimum 50% marks.
OR
12th Pass (Regular) with 50% marks.
ii) Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
OR
Valid Medium Vehicle License issued at least one year before the date of advertisement i.e., 13/06/2018.
OR
Valid Light Motor Vehicle Licence issued at least two years before the date of advertisement i.e., 13/06/2018.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 31.03.2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.12500 -28500/-
2. SENIOR ASSISTANT (ELECTRONICS)
No. of Vacancies: 39 Nos. (UR-23, OBC-08, SC-05, ST-03)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electronics / Tele Communication / Radio Engineering (03 years Course) from a recognized institution.
Experience: Two years relevant experience in the concerned discipline.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 31.03.2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.14500 -33500/-
Candidates who are domicile of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry or Lakshadweep islands are only eligible to apply.
The vacancies are at various airports in the state of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry or Lakshadweep islands in Southern Region.
The selected candidates will undergo Training for a period 18 weeks for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) and 14 weeks for the post of Senior Assistant (Electronics). During the training period, candidates will be paid stipend of Rs. 25,000/-.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For Junior Assistant (Fire Service) only):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 167 cm; Chest (unexpanded) — 81 cm; Chest (expanded) — 86 cm; Weight — 55 Kg
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cm; Weight — 45 Kg
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Exam (Computer Based Test), Certificates/ Documents verification, Endurance Test, Driving Test and Medical Examination (Physical Measurement test) wherever applicable.
The Written Exam will be held in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin and Vijayawada.
