SCIENTIST ‘B’ (MECHANICAL ENGINEERING)
No. of Vacancies: 19 Nos. (UR-09, OBC-05, SC-03, ST-02)
Educational Qualification:
i) First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engg. from a recognized university or equivalent.
ii) Should have valid GATE score card.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 06/07/2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 80,000/- per month.
Students appearing in their final year examination are also eligible. The selected candidates will initially undergo a full time Post Induction Training at DIAT Pune/ ITM Mussoorie.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be on the basis of GATE score, Written Examination and Personal Interview.
The written examination is likely to be held in August 2018. Tentatively, the written examination will be conducted at DRDO centres in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata and Pune.
