INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE POSTS OF NAVIK (GENERAL DUTY) 10+2 ENTRY – 01/2019 BATCH. LAST DATE — 10/07/2018
NAVIK (GENERAL DUTY) 10+2 ENTRY – 01/2019 BATCH
Educational Qualification: 10+2 passed with 50% marks aggregate in total and minimum 50% aggregate in Maths and Physics from a recognized Board.
Note: 5 % relaxation in marks will be given to SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports personnel of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Interstate National Championship. This relaxation will also be applicable to the wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years.
Basic Pay: Rs. 21700/- per month.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply. The basic training will commence in February, 2019 at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — Should be well proportioned; Chest (expanded) — Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination. The examination will be conducted tentatively during the Month of Sep-Oct, 2018 in various centres across India.
