CIVIC VOLUNTEERS (Men/ Women)
No. of Vacancies: 517 Nos.
Unit wise vacancies:
i) North & North Suburban Division: 39 posts
ii) Central Division: 35 posts
iii) South Division: 44 posts
iv) Port Division: 23 posts
v) Eastern Suburban Division: 05 posts
vi) South East Division: 13 posts
vii) South Suburban Division: 17 posts
viii) South West Division: 11 posts
ix) Traffic Department: 270 posts
x) Police Housing Estate: 60 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) Class VIII pass.
ii) Preferably a resident of the area under the Kolkata Police jurisdiction.
iii) Preference would be given to the applicants who have done well in sports and have experience as NCC Cadet / Boy Scouts / NSS Guide / Civil Defence Volunteers etc.
iv) Candidates should not have any criminal record against them in any Police Station.
v) Should be physically and mentally fit.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 60 years as on 01/01/2018.
Candidates having experience as Security Guard will be given priority for the posts meant for Police Housing Estate. The candidates will be appointed under the above mentioned units of Kolkata Police.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.

Candidates are required to submit one application only.
