The candidates will be engaged as Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1991. Candidates will undergo Apprenticeship training for a period of One year in the Madras Atomic Power Station, Kalpakkam, Tamilnadu. TRADE APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 32 Nos. (SC – 06, OBC – 08, UR – 18 )
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Lathe Operator: 01 post
ii) Machinist: 01 post
iii) Welder: 02 posts
iv) Fitter: 14 posts
v) Electrician: 08 posts
vi) Electronic Mechanic: 06 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) For Lathe Operator, Machinist, Fitter & Electrician:- a) Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and (b) ITI Pass Certificate in respective trade.
ii) For Welder:- a) Passed 8th class examination from a recognized school and (b) ITI Pass Certificate in Welder Trade.
iii) For Electronics Mechanic:- a) Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and (b) ITI Pass Certificate in Electronic Mechanic Trade.
Age Limit: Minimum 16 years and maximum 24 years as on 16.08.2018.
Preference will be given to the applicants belonging to neighboring village around the Plant Site.
The candidates will be engaged as Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1991. Candidates will undergo Appernticeship training for a period of One year in the Madras Atomic Power Station, Kalpakkam, Tamilnadu.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 137 Cms; Chest (unexpanded) — Chest expansion should not be less than 3.8 Cms. irrespective of size of chest; Weight — 25.4 Kgs
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in ITI standard/ course and Trade
Test/ Certificate verification.
