1. RADIO TECHNICIAN
No. of Vacancies: 12 Nos. (Gen-08, MBC-02, OBC-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Matricultion / S.S.L.C. (10th Class) with Science and Mathematics from recognised Board.
ii) I.T.I Certificate in Radio/ Electronic Telecommunication from a recognised Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 27 years as on 22.09.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
2. DECK HANDLER
No. of Vacancies: 29 Nos. (Gen-17, MBC-05, OBC-03, SC-04)
Educational Qualification: Must have passed H.S.C. (+2) or is equivalent from a recogrrised Board/ University.
Experience: Should have minimum 03 years experience in sea faring.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 22.09.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
3. POLICE CONSTABLE
No. of Vacancies: 390 Nos. (Gen-199, MBC-70, OBC-42, SC-62, EBC-07, BCM-07, BT/ST-03)
Educational Qualification: Pass in 10+2 standard or its equivalent.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years as on 22.09.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.21700/-
The vacancies are in the Police Departrnent of Union Territory of Puducherry. The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
Only candidates who are Natives / Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry are only eligible to apply.
The selected candidates will undergo Training at the Police Training School.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 81 cms; Chest (expanded) — 86 cms (85 cms for Radio Technician)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cms (154 cm for Police Constable); Weight — 45 kgs (for Police Constable)
The candidates should be of sound health, free from any disease, defect or deformity.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Medical Examination wherever applicable. All the tests will be conducted at Puducherry only.
