SIKKIM PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (SIKKIM PSC) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 05 POSTS OF SUB-INSPECTOR AND ASSISTANT PROGRAMMER. LAST DATE — 07/07/2018

 

1. SUB-INSPECTOR UNDER EXCISE (ABK) DEPARTMENT
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (UR-01, Bhutia Lepcha: 01)
Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree from a recognized University.
Other Qualifications: i) Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority.
ii) Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages.
iii) Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.
iv) Category Certificate.
v) Should have Valid Local Employment Card.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 31/05/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200- 20200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 3400/-

 

2. ASSISTANT PROGRAMMER UNDER SIKKIM STATE SUB-ORDINATE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-01, Bhutia/Lepcha-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Full time course in Bachelor of Computer Application Degree (BCA) from a recognized University/ Institute
OR
Full time course in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology B.Sc. (IT) or 03 (three) years Engineering Diploma (Computer or Information Technology or Electronic or Electronic & Communication) from a recognized University/ Institute
OR
Science graduate from a recognized university with “A” level course certification from National Institute of Electronic and Information Technology (NIELIT)/ Government recognized Institute.
Other Qualifications: i) Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority.
ii) Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages.
iii) Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.
iv) Category Certificate.
v) Should have Valid Local Employment Card.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 31/05/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs 3800/-

 

The vacancies are under Excise (Abk) Department and Sikkim State Sub-Ordinate Information Technology Service. The candidates will be appointed through Direct Recruitment.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/BL and 03 years for OBC category.

 

Physical Standards (For Sub-Inspector only):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 5’3” (Minimum); Chest (unexpanded) — 32”(Minimum); Chest (expanded) — 34”(Minimum); Weight — 50 kgs. (Minimum)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 5’ (Minimum); Weight — 45 Kgs. (Minimum)

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Endurance-cum-Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination and Interview wherever applicable.
