South Eastern Railway (SER) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 10 Group-C posts against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2018-19. SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY (SER) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 10 GROUP-C POSTS AGAINST SCOUTS AND GUIDES QUOTA. LAST DATE — 16/08/2018

 

GROUP-C IN PAY BAND-1

No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (Headquarters-02, Adra division-02, Chakradharpur division-02, Kharagpur division-02, Ranchi division-02)

 

Grade Pay wise vacancies:

i) For Grade Pay Rs.1900/-: 02 posts
ii) For Grade Pay 1800/-: 08 posts

 

Educational Qualification:
i) For Grade Pay Rs.1900/-:-
12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen and candidates possessing higher qualification)
OR
Pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI Certificate for the posts of Artisans in Technical categories.

ii) For Grade Pay 1800/-:-
a) 10th pass from a recognized Board with National Apprenticeship Certificate by NCVT or 10th pass from a recognized Board with ITI for appointment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, S&T and Catering departments.
b) 10th pass or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Board for appointment in other departments.

 

Scouts/ Guiding Qualification:
i) A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
ii) Should have beed an active member of a Scouts/ Guides organization for the last five years.
iii) Should have attended as least two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level and two events at State level.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years. Maximum 30 years (for Grade Pay Rs.1900/-) & maximum 33 years for (Grade Pay 1800/-) as on 01/01/2019.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1800/- or Rs.1900/-

 

The vacancies are against Scouts & Guides Quota on South Eastern Railway (SER) for the year 2018-19. Only candidates who are active members of Bharat Scouts & Guides are eligible to apply. Candidates who are appearing at and/ or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible to apply.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates through Written Examination and Certificate Verification.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/ Ex-servicemen/ PWD/ Women/ Minorities/ EBC) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Bank Draft/ IPO drawn in favour of FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach- 700043, payable at GPO/ Kolkata.
