TAMIL NADU PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (TNPSC) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 158 POSTS OF FOREST APPRENTICE. LAST DATE — 01.08.2018

 

FOREST APPRENTICE

No. of Vacancies: 158 Nos. (Regular:148 (GT-46, BC-40, BCM-05, MBC/DC-29, SC-27, ST-01), SC-Shortfall: 10)

 

Educational Qualification: i) Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or its equivalent degree of any recognized Institution or University.
OR

ii) Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent degree in any one of the following subjects from any recognized Institution or University.

a. Agriculture
b. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
c. Botany
d. Chemistry
e. Computer Applications / Computer Science
f. Engineering (All Engineering subjects including Agricultural Engineering)
g. Environmental Science
h. Geology
i. Horticulture
j. Marine Biology
k. Mathematics
l. Physics
m. Statistics
n. Wildlife biology
o. Zoology

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01.04.2018.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.37,700- 1,19,500/-

 

Candidate should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 cms (152 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 84 cms; Chest (expanded) — 89 cms
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 cms (145 cms for ST candidates); Chest — 79 cms; Chest (expanded) — 84 cms

Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Test and Oral Test. The Written Examination will be held from 23.09.2018 to 30.09.2018. The written examination will be held at the following Centres- Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Vellore and Villupuram. Physical Test will be be conducted only at Chennai.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.150/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). Note: Candidates should register themselves through One -Time Registration by paying registration fee of Rs.150/-. Candidates who had already registered in one time Registration are exempted from paying the registration fee. See released advertisement for more details.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST, MBC/DC, BC & BC(OBCM) AND EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) — www.tnpsc.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) on or before 01.08.2018.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
