1. JOINT DIRECTOR, ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT (INSTITUTE OF ANIMAL HEALTH & VETERINARY BIOLOGICALS, RESEARCH & EDUCATION) IN WEST BENGAL HIGHER ANIMAL HUSBANDRY & VETERINARY SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (ST)
Educational Qualification:
i) Post graduate degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.).
ii) Knowledge of Bengali / Nepali and English both spoken and written.
iii) Registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council.
Experience:
i) At least 08 years’ experience in field in eradication of disease.
ii) At least 04 years’ experience in disease investigation & eradication works.
iii) At least 04 years’ experience in a biological production centre.
iv) At least 02 years’ experience as Head of the Office and D.D.O. in any of the above capacities or separately.
Desirable:
i) Ph. D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bio-chemistry or such allied subjects considered necessary for production of Veterinary Biologicals, diagnosis and disease eradication. A candidate with outstanding academic record will be preferred.
ii) Degree or Diploma in Business Management of a recognized University.

2. JOINT DIRECTOR, ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT OF THE DIRECTORATE IN DIVISIONS IN WEST BENGAL HIGHER ANIMAL HUSBANDRY & VETERINARY SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-01, OBC-02)
Educational Qualification:
i) Master degree in Veterinary Science.
ii) Knowledge of Bengali / Nepali and English both in spoken and written.
iii) Registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council.
Experience:
i) 08 years’ experience in field in eradication of diseases.
ii) 04 years’ experience in Disease Diagnosis.
iii) 04 years’ experience in Cattle/ Poultry or other Livestock Development.
iv) At least 02 years’ experience as Head of the Office and D.D.O. in any of the above posts or separately.
Desirable:
i) Ph. D. in Veterinary Science.
ii) Degree or Diploma in Business Management of a recognized University.

ii) For the holders of Master Degree in Veterinary Science, registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council is necessary.

Experience:
i) 08 years’ experience in extension work in field.
ii) 04 years’ experience in a Livestock Farm/ Biological Production Centre with 02 years as Head of the Office and D.D.O.
iii) 04 years’ experience in disease diagnosis/ eradication/ cattle/ poultry and other Livestock Breeding/ Development Programme.
Desirable:
i) Ph. D. in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry.
ii) Degree or Diploma in Business Management of a recognized University.
Age Limit: Maximum 52 years as on 01.01.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- with Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-
Note: Candidates should have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable to candidates whose Mother Tongue is Nepali).
