CIVIC VOLUNTEER
No. of Vacancies: 195 Nos.
Unit wise vacancies:
1. Detective Department, Kolkata Police (Men/Women): 60 Nos.
2. Kolkata Police Dog Squad (Men/Women): 10 Nos.
3. Kolkata Mounted Police (Men/Women): 10 Nos.
4. Police Housing Estate (Men/Women): 70 Nos.
5. Kolkata Police Sports Section (Men/Women): 25 Nos.
6. East Division, Kolkata Police (Women only): 20 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Class VIII pass.
Preference would be given to the applicants who have done well in sports and have experience as NCC Cadet / Boy Scouts / NSS Guide / Civil Defence Volunteers etc.
Candidates should be physically and mentally fit
NOTE: Candidates must be a resident of the area under the Kolkata Police jurisdiction.
Additional Requirement:
i. Candidates (Men/ Women) applying for Detective Department need to have good knowledge on computer fundamentals and data entry operation.
ii. Candidates (Men/Women) applying for Kolkata Police Dog Squad and Kolkata Mounted Police need to be willing to work with animals and have experience in this regard.
iii. Candidates (Men/Women) applying for Police Housing Estate need to have working experience in Plumbing/ Carpentry /Electrical work/Masonry etc.
iv. Candidates (Men/Women) applying for Kolkata Police Sports Section should have participated in State Level Sports Events.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 60 years as on 01/01/2018
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview.
