1. LIBRARIAN GRADE-I IN INDUSTRIES AND COMMERCE DEPARTMENT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (MBC/DC)
Educational Qualification: i) Must possess a degree in Arts or Science or Commerce from recognized University.
ii) Must possess a degree in Library Science from any recognized University/ Institution/ Board.
Experience: Practical experience in Cataloguing and abstracting in a Library connected with any recognized Educational and Scientific Institution or Industrial Concern for a period of not less than two years.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and should not have completed 35 years as on 01/07/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.36200- 114800/-
2. LIBRARIAN IN AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (GT-01, SC(A)-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Must possess a degree.
ii) Must possess B.Lib Science Degree.
iii) Preference shall be given to a candidate who has:-
a) Adequate knowledge of French/ German.
b) Previous experience as Librarian in a Library of a college affiliated to a University or a Research Institute or a well established District Library.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and should not have completed 30 years as on 01/07/2018.

3. FILM LIBRARIAN IN AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT

Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and should not have completed 30 years as on 01/07/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.19500- 62000/-
6. LIBRARIAN IN LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY SECRETARIAT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (GT)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any subject and a degree in Library and Information Science of any recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and should not have completed 30 years as on 01/07/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.56900- 180500/-
All the candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
The vacancies are in different Departments. The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
Note: No maximum age limit for SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BCM, BC and Destitute Widows of all Castes (candidates should not have completed 58 years).
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Oral Test. The Written Examination will be held on 23/02/2019. The Examination will be held in the following centres- Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and Trichirappalli. The Oral Test will be conducted tentatively in the month of May, 2019.
