1. SUPER SPECIALIST MEDICAL OFFICER (SECOND-IN-COMMAND)
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (ITBP)
Speciality wise vacancies:
i) Neurology: 01 post
ii) Nephrology: 01 post
iii) Gastroenterology: 01 post
iv) Neurosurgery: 01 post
Educational Qualification:
i) Graduate degree in Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institution.
ii) Should be enrolled in any State Medical Register.
iii) Should have completed compulsory rotatory Internship.
iv) Should also possess Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the related Speciality or equivalent.
v) Should possess Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurguie (M.Ch.) or equivalent with 03 years experience in the concerned Super-Speciality after obtaining the first Post Graduate Degree.
Age Limit: Maximum 50 years as on 01/05/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.78,800- 2,09,200/-
2. SPECIALIST MEDICAL OFFICER (DEPUTY COMMANDANT)
No. of Vacancies: 175 Nos. (BSF-56, CRPF-85, SSB-19, ITBP-09, Assam Rifles-06)
Speciality wise vacancies:
i) Medicine: 36 posts
ii) Surgery: 28 posts
iii) Gynecology and Obstetrics: 19 posts
iv) Anaesthesia: 19 posts

Educational Qualification:
i) A recognized medical qualification of Allopathic system of medicines.
ii) The candidates must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI.
iii) Completion of compulsory rotating Internship.
iv) Should also possess Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in the concerned Speciality or equivalent and one and a half years experience after obtaining PG Diploma.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01/05/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.67,700- 2,08,700/-
3. MEDICAL OFFICER (ASSISTANT COMMANDANT)
No. of Vacancies: 317 Nos. (BSF-102, CRPF-21, SSB-59, ITBP-107, Assam Rifles-28)
Educational Qualification: i) A recognized medical qualification of Allopathic system of medicines.
ii) The candidates must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI.
iii) Completion of compulsory rotating Internship.
Note: Candidates who may be undergoing the rotating Internship shall also be eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 01/05/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.56,100- 1,77,500/-

The vacancies are in Central Armed Police Forces (Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Assam Rifles), Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157.5 cms (154.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cms; Chest (expanded) — 82 cms.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 142 cms (139 cms for ST candidates).
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview and Medical Examination.
