Mate (Electrician): 67 posts.
Mate (Refrigerator Mechanic): 10 posts.
Mate (Fitter General Mechanic): 67 posts.
Mate (Vehicle Mechanic): 03 posts.
Mate (Pipe Fitter): 31 posts.
Mate (Carpenter): 12 posts.
Mate (Painter): 04 posts.
Mate (Mason): 14 posts.
Note: Number of vacancies is further distributed into CWE wise. Candidates may apply for the vacancies against any one CWE only. See PDF file given below for number of vacancies as per CWE wise.
Minimum Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent AND ITI pass certificate in relevant/related trades.
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Between 18 and 27 years as on 10/11/2015. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others
Pay Scales (For all above posts/discipline): Rs.5200/- – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.1800/-
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test. Tentatively written examination will be conducted on 27 December 2015.
Examination Centre will be in Jammu & Kashmir at Srinagar, Akhnoor, Leh and Udhampur.
Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Military Engineering Services (MES)

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF file below) along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Caste, Age, Experience certificate (if applicable) and any other relevant documents.
Applicant can apply only for one CWE Area. All the testimonials enclosed with the Application form must be in self/gazetted officer attested photocopies.
Candidates must also enclose 01 (size 28 cm x 12 cm) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs.60/-
The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “NAME OF THE POST______, CATEGORY______”
