MOTOR VEHICLES INSPECTOR (NON-TECHNICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 74 Nos. (UR-37, SC-17, ST-04, OBC-12, PWD-02, MSP-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University.
ii) Candidate should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 39 years as on 01.01.2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 7,100/- – Rs. 37,600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 3,900/-
The vacancies are in the Transport Department under the Government of West Bengal. The posts are Temporary but likely to be Permanent.
Reserved Category candidates from the States other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. PWD candidates will get Age relaxation up to 45 years of age.
Physical Standards:
Height — 170 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 86 cms; Chest (expanded) — 91 cms
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Personality Test.
