NMDC LTD, KUMARASWAMY IRON ORE MINE, INVITES APPLICATION FOR TOTAL 260 TRAINEE POSTS IN DIFFERENT TRADES/DISCIPLINE. LAST DATE — 25/07/2015
1. Jr. Officer (Mechanical) Trainee: 1 (UR)
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR 03 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience — No experience in case of Degree holders but 05 years relevant field experience required in case of Diploma holders.
2. Jr. Officer (Electrical) Trainee: 1 (UR)
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering (Preferable: Electrical Supervisory Certificate – Mining) OR 03 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with Electrical Supervisory Certificate (Mining) of competency as per Karnataka State Electricity Board Rules.
Experience — No experience in case of Degree holders but 05 years relevant field experience required in case of Diploma holders.
3. HEM Operator Gr.I (Trainee): 52 posts (UR—26; OBC—14; SC—8; ST—4)
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engg./ Automobile Engg with Heavy Vehicle Driving License (HVDL).
4. HEM Mechanic Gr.I (Trainee): 14 posts (UR—7; OBC—3; SC—3; ST—1)
Qualification: 03 yrs Diploma in Mechanical Engg. with Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
5. Mechanic Cum-Operator Gr I (Trainee): 25 posts (UR—13; OBC—7; SC—3; ST—2)
Qualification: 03 yrs Diploma in Mechanical Engg. with Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
6. Electrician Gr I (Trainee): 26 posts (UR—13; OBC—7; SC—5; ST—1)
Qualification: 03yrs Diploma in Electrical Engg with statutory certificate issued under Karnataka. Desirable— Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
7. Technician Gr.I (Electronics) (Trainee): 4 posts. (UR—2; OBC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: 03 yrs Diploma in Electronics Engg.
8. Quality Control Assistant Gr.III (Trainee): 02 posts. (UR—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Graduation in B.Sc (Chemistry/ Geology) and one year experience in sampling work is essential.
9. Jr. Stenographer Gr.III (Trainee): 01 (UR)
Qualification: Graduate in Arts / Science/ Commerce with passing certificates in Lower Grade English Shorthand and Higher Grade English type-writing examination from Board of Secondary / Technical Education of the respective states or its equivalent qualification
Candidates should possess minimum speed of 80 words per minute English shorthand and 40 words per minute English typing.
Desirable:
1. Typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi and/or in Kannada language.
2. Knowledge of Computer/ telex/ Fax/ Photocopying and other office equipment
Experience — 04yrs in typing and clerical
10. Jr. Assistant Gr.III (Trainee): 26 posts. (UR—13; OBC—7; SC—4; ST—2; PWD—4)
Qualification: Graduate in Arts / Science/ Commerce and a minimum Typing speed of 30 WPM in English and/or Hindi language.
Desirable:
1.Knowledge of typing in Kannada Language.
2.Knowledge of Computer/ telex/ Fax/ Photocopying and other office equipment
Experience — One year in typing and clerical work.
11. Maintenance Assistant (Mechanical) (Trainee): 56 posts. (UR—28; OBC—15; SC—9; ST—4)
Qualification: ITI in the trades of Fitter, Welder, Turner, Auto-Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic and Machinist.
Desirable: Light Vehicle Driving License(LVDL)
12. Maintenance Assistant (Electrical) (Trainee): 11 posts. (UR—6; OBC—2; SC—2; ST—1)
Qualification: ITI in the trade of Electrician. Desirable: Light Vehicle Driving License(LVDL) and Wireman Permit.
13. Field Attendant (Trainee): 43 posts (UR—22; OBC—11; SC—7; ST—3)
Qualification: Middle/ Class VIII pass or ITI
Note: The qualifications (Degree / Diploma / ITI / SSLC/ Middle or 8th standard) prescribed for the posts should be of Regular and Full Time course from a recognized University / Institution.
Age Limit (For all above posts): Maximum 35 years for the posts of Jr. Officer (Mech./Elect.) and maximum 30 years for the rest of all posts. Age will be counted as on 25/07/2015.
The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). Age is relaxable up to 10 years for PWD candidates.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Skill Test/Trade Test/ Physical Ability Test (wherever applicable) and Interview.
Candidates selected for the above posts will be placed initially as a “Trainee”. On successful completion of training, candidates will be placed on “Probation” as per the rules of the NMDC Limited and will be placed in the regular scale of pay.

SC/ST/PwD/ Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from application fee.
