1. GEOLOGIST
No. of Vacancies: 30 Nos. (UR-09, SC-08, ST-13)
Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class M.Sc in Geology or Applied Geology from any recognized University or Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad, Degree, diploma or certificate of IIT or from any other institute where such degree, diploma or certificate is considered equivalent to Post-graduate degree in Geology.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/08/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.56,100/-
2. GEOPHYSICIST
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (ST)
Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class Post Graduate Degree in Exploration or Applied Geophysics from any recognized University or Degree in Geology and Geophysics from IIT or equivalent degree, diploma, certificate from any recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/08/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.56,100/-
3. MINING OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (SC-01, ST-03)
Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class degree in Mining Engineering from any recognized University or Diploma in Mining or in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad or any other Institute where such diploma or certificate is considered equivalent to degree of Mining Engineering.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/08/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.56,100/-
Note: The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia fluently and must have passed at least an examination in Odia language equivalent to that of Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or the Education Department of the Govt. of Odisha or any other Board or Council of Secondary Education approved by the Govt. of Odisha in support of passing of Odia Language (M.E School Standard).
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha shall be treated as General Candidates.
The vacancies are under Odisha Mining and Geology Service under Steel and Mines Department. The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of Two years.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Viva Voce Test. The Written Examination will be held at Cuttack.
