Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2018. The candidates who qualify in the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2018 will be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the secondary schools of the state. Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) (See URL below). BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, ODISHA (BSE ODISHA) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE ODISHA SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (OSSTET) 2018. LAST DATE — 17.09.2018

 

1. TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS- ARTS
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/ Commerce or Shastri (Sanskrit) Degree with two school subjects (given below) as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional from a recognised university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates).
ii) Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) from a recognised Institution.
OR
i) Four year integrated B.A.B.Ed from recognised Institution with two school subjects (given below) as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST /PH / SEBC candidates).
School Subjects
i) One of the subject shall be from English, Odia, Hindi & Sanskrit.
ii) Another subject shall be from History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity.

 

2. TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS- SCIENCE (PCM/ CBZ)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in science / B.Tech/ B.E. Degree with two schools subject (given below) as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional from a recognised university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST /PH / SEBC candidates).
ii) Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) from a recognised Institution.
OR
i) Four year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed from a recognised Institution with two school subjects (given below) as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates).
School Subjects
i) For PCM: Any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
ii) For CBZ: Any two subjects from Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Biology.

 

3. TRAINED GRADUATE HINDI TEACHER
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University with Hindi as one of the Honours/ Elective/ Optional/ Pass subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates).
ii) Any one of the following training qualifications:
a) Hindi Sikshyan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra.
b) B.H.Ed. a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ Institution.
c) B.Ed in Hindi, a course prescribed by NCTE , from Dakhin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.
OR
ii) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates) with one of the following qualifications:
a) Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha,
b) Shastri (Hindi) from Orissa Rastrabhasa Parisad, Puri.
c) Snataka (Acquired by June -2005, the date up to which the temporary recognition has been granted) from Hindi Sikshya Samiti, Odisha, Cuttack.
AND
One of the following Training qualifications:
a) Hindi Sikshyan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra.
b) B.H.Ed. a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ Institution.
c) B.Ed in Hindi, a course prescribed by NCTE, from Dakhin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

 

4. TRAINED GRADUATE CLASSICAL TEACHER (SANSKRIT)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the Honours/ Elective / Optional/ Pass subject from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC Candidates).
ii) Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from a Recognised University/ Institution.
OR
i) Shastri (Sanskrit) Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates) from a recognized university.
ii) Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from a recognised University/ Institution.

 

5. TRAINED GRADUATE CLASSICAL TEACHER (URDU)
Educational Qualification: i) Alim with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for PH candidates).
ii) B.Ed./ Urdu B.Ed. from a recognised University/ Institution.
OR
i) B.A. (Persian) with 50% marks in aggregate (45% PH Candidates).
ii) B.Ed./ Urdu B.Ed. from a recognised University/ Institution.

 

6. TRAINED GRADUATE CLASSICAL TEACHER (TELGU)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in Arts having Telgu as subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates).
ii) Telgu B. Ed. from a recognized University / Institution.

 

7. TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHER- PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Educational Qualification: i) +2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC) candidates).
ii) C.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P.Ed. from a recognized Board/ University.

 

For all the Candidates: The candidate must be able to read and write in Odia and have-
i) Passed HSC Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or an equivalent examination conducted by any other State Board or Central Board (like CBSE, ICSE) with Odia as a language subject i.e. First/ Second or Third Language. OR
ii) Passed +2/ Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha with Odia as an examination subject. OR
iii) Passed Odia Examination of HSC/ 10th Standard Single Subject Examination conduct by the B.S.E., Odisha.
Candidates appearing / have appeared in the training examination but waiting for results are also eligible to apply.

The candidates who qualify in the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2018 will be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the secondary schools of the state.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
