No. of Vacancies: 184 Nos. (UR-92, SC-30, ST-41, SEBC-21. Out of the total posts, 05 posts are reserved for ESM and 02 posts for Sports persons)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2018
Pay Scale: Rs.9300- 34,800/- with Grade pay Rs.4200/-
- SUB INSPECTOR OF POLICE (ARMED)
No. of Vacancies: 20 Nos. (UR-10, SC-03, ST-05, SEBC-02. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for ESM)

- ASSISTANT JAILOR
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2018
Pay Scale: Rs.9300- 34,800/- with Grade pay Rs.4200/-
Essential: Candidates must have knowledge in Odia (speak, read and write) and must have passed (i) Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject: or (ii) Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject: or (iii) Passed in Odia as language subject in final examination of class VIII or above: or (iv) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
NOTE: Female candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Sub Inspector of Police and Assistant Jailor only. For the posts of Sub Inspector of Police (Armed) and Station Officer (Fire Service); only male candidates are eligible to apply. Persons with disability are not eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/ SEBC & Women candidates. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 168 cm (163 cm for SC/ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cm (76 cm for SC/ST); Chest (expanded) — 84 cm (81 cm for SC/ST); Weight — 55 kg (50 kg for SC/ST)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 155 cm (150 cm for SC/ST candidates); Weight — 47.5 kg (45 kg for SC/ST)
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Exam/ Physical Measurement & Physical Efficiency Test/ Main Written Exam and Viva-cum-Psychological Test.
