1. OPERATOR-CUM-TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)
No. of Vacancies: 126 Nos. (UR-64, SC-28, ST-07, OBC-27. Out of the total posts, 23 posts are reserved for PWD & 18 posts for ESM)
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical: 36 posts
ii) Metallurgy: 35 posts
iii) Electrical: 25 posts
iv) Instrumentation: 10 posts
v) Chemical: 05 posts
vi) Civil: 10 posts
vii) Ceramics: 05 posts
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and three years full time Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Metallurgy/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Chemical/ Civil/ Ceramics disciplines from a recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Departmental candidates).
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 14/12/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.16800-24110/-

 

2. ATTENDANT-CUM-TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)
No. of Vacancies: 30 Nos. (UR-17, SC-06, ST-01, OBC-06. Out of the total posts, 16 posts are reserved for PWD & 04 posts for ESM)
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Fitter: 10 posts
ii) Electrician: 10 posts
iii) Turner: 05 posts
iv) Welder: 03 posts
v) Machinist (CNC): 02 posts
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and full time ITI in Fitter/ Electrician/ Turner/ Welder/ Machinist (CNC) trades from recognised Institute.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 14/12/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.15830-22150/-

 

The vacancies are for IISCO Steel Plant, an Integrated Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at Burnpur in West Bengal.

The selected candidates will be placed on training for a period of two years. During the training period candidates will be paid Consolidated Pay of Rs.10700/- for 1st year & Rs.12200/- for 2nd year per month for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Rs.8600/- for 1st year & Rs.10000/- for 2nd year per month for the post of Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee).
After successful completion of Training, candidates will be placed under probation for a period of one year.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 155 cm; Weight — 45 kg
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 143 cm; Weight — 35 kg

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Trade Test/ Skill Test.
