Punjab Police: Online applications (available at https://iur.ls/punjabpolicerecruitment2023) are invited Indian citizens for direct recruitment to fill vacancies of Sub Inspectors (except for the vacancies against the sports quota, which shall be filled separately) in the District Police cadre of Punjab Police. The recruitment for filling up the vacancies in the District Police cadre as mentioned above shall be carried out through an Application Form (AF) and Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST) with specified qualifying parameters. The selection of candidates shall be on the basis of their respective merit (based strictly on the basis of marks obtained in Paper I) and normalization, against available category-wise vacancies. Educational Qualification:
- The candidate should be a graduate of a recognized university or its equivalent.
Pay Scale:
- As per the Punjab Govt. Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post-Sub-Inspector is Rs. 35,400/- and the minimum pay admissible of Rs. 35,400/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.
Age:
- Eligibility criteria regarding age shall be as follows: Minimum age as of January 1st, 2023 – 18 years.
- Maximum age as of January 1st, 2023 – 28 years.
Physical Standard:
- Sub-Inspector (Male)- District/ Armed Police: 5 Feet 7 Inches
- Sub-Inspector (Male)- Intelligence/ Investigation Cadre: 5 Feet 5 Inches
- Sub-Inspector (Female)- District/ Armed Police: 5 Feet 2 Inches
- Sub-Inspector (Female)- Intelligence/ Investigation Cadre: 5 Feet 1 Inch

Selection Process:
- The selection process shall be a three-stage process comprising the following stages:
- Stage-I: Stage-I will consist of two Computer Based, Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Papers viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage II: Stage II will consist of Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and a Physical Screening Test (PST). Both the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage-III: Stage-III will consist of Document Scrutiny.

- There shall be an Application Form for recruitment to the post of constable in the District Police cadre of Punjab police.
