ASSISTANT LINEMAN
No. of Vacancies: 2800 Nos. (Gen-1400, SC/Mazbi/Balmiki-350, SC/other-350, Backward Classes-336, EXSM-196, PWD-84, Sportpersons-56, Freedom Fighter-28)
Educational Qualification:
i) Matriculation passed.
ii) Two years National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
iii) Candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level till the date of Document Checking.
Candidates who possess higher education i.e. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have minimum qualification i.e. National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
Preference will be given to those candidates who have done Two years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman from PSPCL/PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB.
If above candidates are not available, the other candidates having two years apprenticeship in the trade of lineman from any other state / BBMB etc. will be considered.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-42 years as on 01/01/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.6400 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay Rs.3400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be made purely on merit basis that will be based on the marks obtained in National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. Selected candidates will be on traing for a period of four months.
