Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL), a power generating and distributing organization of the Government of Punjab is inviting online applications from Degree/Diploma holders (passed during 2020, 2021 & 2022), for undergoing 1-year Graduate/Technician apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 (as amended from time to time).
Engineering Graduate Apprentices: 106
Degree in Any Stream: 36
Technician Apprentices: 297
Essential Qualification:
- A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University.
- A degree in engineering or technology granted by an institution empowered to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
- Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree.
- Graduates of General Stream such as B.A., Com, B.Sc, etc.
- A diploma in engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government.
Age Limit:
- As per Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 as amended from time to time. Against the said notification, the minimum age required for apprenticeship is 18 years as of 01.04.2023.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be based purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks obtained in the degree/diploma. The percentage marks shall be rounded off to the nearest second decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications.
How to apply:
- For Engineering Graduate/Technician:
- Interested candidates are required to enroll themselves on the MHRD NATS portal of GOI boat to in user Then, under establishment request, candidates will have to apply for an apprenticeship under Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (establishment ID: NPBPAS000008). There is no application fee for applying for an apprenticeship.
- For Graduate in General Stream:
- As currently there is no provision for Graduates in the general stream, to register online on the portal so they have to submit their application form as per Annexure-A along with the self-attested documents in the office of Addl.SE/ODMD TTI Complex Shakti Vihar, PSPCL Patiala either by hand or by registered post. The application form along with the documents must reach the said office by the last date (till 05:00 pm). No applications received after the due date will be entertained.
