Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd is recruiting some hundreds of eligible candidates for the post of “CLERK” for its Branches/Institutions in Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Eligible candidates may apply Online from the bank’s website within scheduled date (see below). Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
Name of the Post: CLERK

Vacancies proposed for the States were –
(i) Delhi
(ii) Gujarat
(iii) Maharashtra
Educational Qualification: A Graduate (Arts, Commerce & Science), other than Engineering category, with minimum of 55% marks or a Post Graduate, from a recognized University in regular college course with knowledge in Computer Operations.
OR
An Engineering Graduate with 60% marks from a recognized University in regular college course with knowledge in Computer Operations.
Language Eligibility: Candidates applying for Delhi shall be natives of Delhi and should be able to read, write and speak Hindi. Likewise candidates from Gujarat and Maharashtra must be able to read, write and speak Gujrati and Marathi respectively.
Candidates shall have proficiency in English. Candidates who have acquired Graduation certificate from Open University and Correspondence courses are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Candidates must be maximum 24yrs in case of Graduation and if Post Graduate then 26yrs as on 31-03-2013. Upper age relaxation for MBC/BC will be 2yrs and SC/ST/PH will be 5 yrs.
Training and Probation Period:
Selected candidates will be placed at a Branch / Office of the Bank situated at specified districts in Delhi/ Gujarat/ Maharashtra on Probation for a period of one year. They will be fixed in the following pay scale with applicable DA. 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/2-20100.
The emoluments during the period of probation will be Basic Pay of Rs. 8000/– plus applicable DA (At present Rs. 6,732/-) etc. The total emoluments at present approximately is Rs. 15,620/- per month. Refer the Advt. for details.
Selection of the candidates:
Candidates will be selected through Objective Type Examination which will be carried Online only. The date, Time and Venue of Online Test will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually.
Qualified and shortlisted candidates from Online test will be called for Personal Interview.

Candidates will have to first register themselves with the bank from the appropriate link. Doing so, the bank will sent an automated email verification link to the candidates email id. Now candidate shall open their email id and must click the verification link given on that email sent by the bank.
Upon validating the email id, candidates can now login to their profile on the bank’s website and can proceed to fill the form (For details, please see the below given link)
Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150 in case of SC/ST candidates) in form of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. And payable at – Thoothukudi/ Tuticorin or Tirunelveli.
After successful submission of Online application, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration slip (Hard copy). The print-out Hard copy of the application form along with demand draft of prescribed Application Fee and Self-Attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification certificate (from class 10), Nativity Certificate, Age proof/ Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate and Etc., must reach the bank (address given below) within five days from the date of Online registration but not later than July 05, 2013.
Candidates must write their Application Serial Number on all copies of enclosures and Demand Draft.
Candidates may keep one copy of hard application with them for future references.
