Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) is recruiting eligible candidates for 09 posts of Senior Research Fellow, Junior Research Fellow, Field Collector cum Assistant and Computer Operator cum Accountant. The vacancies are for the Research Project entitled “Restoration of reefs using Electricity – A suitable technology to enhance and conserve Gulf of Kachchh reefs”. The candidates will be appointed on Temporary basis for a period of One year. ZOOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA (ZSI) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 09 POSTS OF SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW, JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW, FIELD COLLECTOR CUM ASSISTANT AND COMPUTER OPERATOR CUM ACCOUNTANT. WALK-IN DATE — 25/01/2019 & 28/01/2019
1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc./ M.Phil. in Zoology/ Marine Biology/ Aquatic Biology/ Biosciences/ Life Science or equivalent degree with minimum of 55% aggregate mark from a recognized University.
Desirable: i) Minimum 02 years of working experience as JRF/ Research Fellow in any research projects.
ii) Research experience in marine environment and working experience at remote Islands.
iii) Experience in swimming.
iv) Open-water/ Advanced Open-water SCUBA Diving license.
v) Working knowledge of Computer.
vi) Experience in report writing / manuscripts preparation.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 31/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.18,000/- per month.
2. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology/ Marine Biology/ Aquatic Biology/ Biosciences/ Life Science or equivalent degree with minimum of 55% aggregate mark from a recognized University.
Desirable: i) Experience in Swimming/ Diving.
ii) Working knowledge of Computer.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 31/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.16,000/- per month.
3. FIELD COLLECTOR CUM ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any branch of Biological Sciences/ Intermediate in Science.
Desirable: i) Experience in Marine Environment.
ii) Experience in Swimming/ Diving.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 31/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.8,000/- per month.
4. COMPUTER OPERATOR CUM ACCOUNTANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Intermediate/ Graduate with experience in Computer Operation.
Desirable: i) Working experience in MS office.
ii) Previous working experience as an accountant.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 31/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.10,000/- per month.
The vacancies are for the Research Project entitled “Restoration of reefs using Electricity – A suitable technology to enhance and conserve Gulf of Kachchh reefs”. The candidates will be appointed on Temporary basis for a period of One year.
The candidates having experience in Swimming/ SCUBA Diving will be preferred.
The posting of selected candidates will be at any one of the coastal areas of Gujarat and in Chennai.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.
