ICMR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) is recruiting eligible candidates for 10 posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Young Professional- II (YP- II) and Field Assistants (FA). The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis till October, 2019 and extendable up to October, 2022. ICMR-INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MILLETS RESEARCH (IIMR) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 10 POSTS OF SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF)/ YOUNG PROFESSIONAL- II (YP- II) AND FIELD ASSISTANTS (FA). WALK-IN DATE — On 10/06/2019 and 11/06/2019
1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) OR YOUNG PROFESSIONAL- II (YP II)
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences.
i) Candidates having postgraduate degree in above mentioned academic subjects with 04 years Bachelor’s degree and 02 years Master’s degree will be considered for Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
ii) Candidates having postgraduate degree in above mentioned academic subjects with 03 years Bachelor’s degree and 02 years Master’s degree with NET qualification or Ph.D. will be considered for Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
iii) Candidates having postgraduate degree in above mentioned academic subjects with 03 years Bachelor’s degree and 02 years Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered for Young Professional- II (YP II).
Desirable: Research experience in applications of molecular markers, gene expression assays, high throughput marker data generation, next-generation sequencing data, bioinformatics tools in crops.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 10.06.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- per month.
2. FIELD ASSISTANTS
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Should have a minimum of 10+2 school education.
Desirable: Experience in agricultural field works and working knowledge in Computers.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 11.06.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month.
The vacancies are under the ICAR-BMGF project on “Application of Next-Generation Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalization Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain in Indian Staple Crops”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis till October, 2019 and extendable up to October, 2022.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/Women candidates and 03 years for OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.
