Department of Science and Technology and Biotechnology (DSTB) is recruiting eligible candidates for 40 posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF). The vacancies are for the project entitled “Implementation of Waterbodies Census and Sixth Minor Irrigation Census with Cadastral-level Landuse Mapping”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis. DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY (DSTB) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 40 POSTS OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) AND SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF). WALK-IN DATE — From 06/12/2018 to 07/12/2018
1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)
No. of Vacancies: 30 Nos. (Gen-15, SC-07, ST-02, OBC-06)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography/ Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ Water Resources/ Civil Engineering with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Desirable: i) PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent.
ii) Experience in using RS & GIS.
iii) NET/ GATE/ SLET qualified.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 01/12/2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 18,700/- per month.
2. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF)
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (Gen-05, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-02)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography/ Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ Water Resources/ Civil Engineering with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Experience: Two years experience in using RS & GIS for Mapping component of the program.
Desirable: i) PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent.
ii) NET/ GATE/ SLET qualified.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/12/2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 21,000/- per month.
The vacancies are for the project entitled “Implementation of Waterbodies Census and Sixth Minor Irrigation Census with Cadastral-level Landuse Mapping”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.
