SAIL BSP INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 495 POSTS OF ATTENDANT CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE), OPERATOR CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE/BOILER OPERATION) AND JR. STAFF NURSE (TRAINEE). LAST DATE — 09/09/2015
1. Attendant cum Technician (Trainee): 192 Nos. (UR-96; SC-24; ST-59; OBC-13). Out of them 27 reserved for Ex-Servicemen and 6 for PWD.
No. of vacancies as per Trade wise are as follows –
- Fitter: 75 posts.
- Electrician: 54 posts.
- Welder: 14 posts.
- Instrument Mechanic: 5 posts.
- Diesel Mechanic: 23 posts.
- Heavy Vehicle Driver (HVD): 09 posts.
- Turner/ Machinist: 23 posts.
- Mason: 6 posts.
- Draftsman: 2 posts.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with ITI/ NCVT from Government recognized institute in the following trades: -Fitter for ACT(T)-Fitter, Electrician for ACT(T)-Electrician, Welder for ACT(T)-Welder, Instrument Mechanic for ACT(T)-Instrument Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic for ACT(T)-Diesel Mechanic, Turner/Machinist for ACT(T)-Turner/Machinist, Mason for ACT(T)- Mason, Draftsman for ACT(T)-Draftsman.
For HVD- Matriculation with Heavy Vehicle Driver (HVD) License having one year experience in operation of any Heavy Vehicle
Pay Scale: Rs.15830 – Rs.22150/-
2. Operator cum Technician (Trainee): 283 Nos.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation and three years full time Diploma in Engineering with minimum 50% marks from a Government recognized institute in any of the following disciplines: – Metallurgy for OCT(T)- Metallurgy, Electrical for OCT(T)-Electrical, Mechanical for OCT(T)-Mechanical, Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication or Electronics or Instrumentation for OCT(T) – Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Civil for OCT(T) – Civil.
Pay Scale: Rs.16800 – Rs.24110/-
3. Operator cum Technician (Boiler Operation): 07 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and three years full time Diploma in Engineering with minimum 50% marks from a Government recognized institute with either First class or Second class certificate of Boiler Attendant competency

4. Junior Staff Nurse (Trainee) (Male or Female): 13 Nos. (UR-7; SC-1; ST-4; OBC-1). Out of them 01 reserved for PWD and 01 for Ex-Serv.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc (Nursing) with minimum 50% (40% marks for SC/ST/PWD) marks with valid registration in Nursing Council and having at least 01 (One) year post qualification clinical experience in a Hospital/ Nursing Home OR Intermediate or 10+2 Science with Diploma of 03 (three) years duration in General Nursing and Midwifery with minimum 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/PWD) with valid registration in Nursing Council
Pay Scale: Rs.16800 – Rs.24110/-
Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Minimum 18yrs and maximum 28yrs as on 09.09.2015. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test (Objective Type) and Interview or practical/ driving test and interview.
Candidates selected as Attendant cum Technician (Trainee), Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Jr. Staff Nurse (Trainee) will be placed on training for a minimum period of 2 (two) years which can be extended by another two years as per requirement. On successful completion of training period, they shall be regularized in S-1 and S-3 grade respectively.
