ICMR- National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) is recruiting eligible candidates for 15 posts of Scientist C (Medical), Project Technical Officer (Senior Investigator/ Senior Technical Assistant), Project Technician- III (Laboratory Technician)- Field, Data Entry Operator (Grade B) and Project Technician- II (Health Assistant). The vacancies are under the project “National Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey, India”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis. ICMR- NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN TUBERCULOSIS (NIRT) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 15 POSTS OF SCIENTIST C (MEDICAL), PROJECT TECHNICAL OFFICER (SENIOR INVESTIGATOR/ SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT), PROJECT TECHNICIAN- III (LABORATORY TECHNICIAN)- FIELD, DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (GRADE B) AND PROJECT TECHNICIAN- II (HEALTH ASSISTANT). 1. SCIENTIST C (MEDICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (MD/ MS/ DNB) after MBBS with one year experience.
OR
Post Graduate Diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with 02 years’ experience.
OR
MBBS degree with 04 years’ experience.
Desirable: i) Doctorate or MD or Master degree in the relevant subject (Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine/ Paediatrics/ Medicine/ Tropical Medicine/ Community Health Administration/ Health Administration/ Family Medicine/ Epidemiology/ Public Health) from a recognized University.
ii) Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institute(s).
iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/ Data Management.
iv) Minimum one year experience in RNTCP.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.72325/- per month.
2. PROJECT TECHNICAL OFFICER (SENIOR INVESTIGATOR)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Science/ Epidemiology/ Public Health from a recognized University with 05 years’ work experience in a recognized Institution.
OR
Master’s degree in Epidemiology/ Public Health from a recognized University.
Desirable: i) Three year of Research/ Field experience.
ii) Any Survey/ Field experience.
iii) Minimum of 02 year experience in RNTCP.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.32,000/- per month.
3. PROJECT TECHNICAL OFFICER (SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Science from a recognized University with 05 years’ work experience in a recognized Institution.
OR
Master’s degree in Epidemiology/ Public Health from a recognized University.
Desirable: i) Three year of Research experience.
ii) Any Survey/ Field experience.
iii) Minimum of one year experience in RNTCP.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.32,000/- per month.
4. PROJECT TECHNICIAN- III (LABORATORY TECHNICIAN) – FIELD
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: 12th pass in Science subjects with any one of the following:-
i) Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
OR
ii) One year Diploma in Med Laboratory Technology with one year laboratory experience in a recognised Organization/ Institution.
OR
iii) Two years Laboratory experience in a government recognised Organisation/ Institution.
Note: B.Sc. degree shall be treated as three years’ experience.
Desirable: i) Experience in culture (solid and liquid) and DST for mycobacterium tuberculosis.
ii) One year experience in RNTCP as LT.
iii) Past experience of working in an Intermediate Reference Laboratory or National Reference Laboratory for Tuberculosis.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.18,000/- per month.
5. DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (GRADE B)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or 12th pass in Science stream from a recognized board with DOEACC “A” level from a recognized Institute and/ or 02 years’ experience in EDP work in Government, Autonomous, PSU or any other recognized organization.
Desirable: i) Experience in Data Entry in research projects or in any National Health Program.
ii) Work experience in Electronic Data Processing/ Biostatistics/ Data Management.
iii) Should be well conversant with various computer programming including MS Word, Excel.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.18,000/- per month.
6. PROJECT TECHNICIAN- II (HEALTH ASSISTANT)
No. of Vacancies: 07 Nos.
Educational Qualification: High School or equivalent.
Note: Intermediate with Science subjects shall be treated as equivalent to 02 years’ experience and B.Sc shall be treated as equivalent to 03 years.
Experience: Five years’ experience in health field from any recognized Institute or Organization.
Desirable: i) Experience of working in Surveys.
ii) Experience of working in TB program.
iii) Experience of working in Research.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.17,000/- per month.
The vacancies are under the project “National Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey, India”. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis.
Preference will be given to those candidates having working experience in National Health Surveys/ similar activities.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test/ Interview.
