Human Resource Development Department, Sikkim is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test -2018. The candidates who pass the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET)- 2018 will be eligible for appointment as Primary Teacher for Classes I to V and for Elementary (Graduate) Teacher for Classes VI to VIII. SIKKIM TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST -2018

1. PRIMARY TEACHER FOR CLASSES I-V (PRIMARY STAGE)
Educational Qualification: i) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and passed or appearing in the final year of 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed).
OR
ii) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and passed in final year of 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
OR
iii) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and passed or appearing in the final year of 02 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

 

2. GRADUATE TEACHER FOR CLASSES VI-VIII (ELEMENTARY STAGE)
Educational Qualification: i) B.A./ B.Sc.with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and passed or appearing in the final year of 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.).
OR
ii) B.A./ B.Sc. with 50 % marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and passed or appearing in the final year 02 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.).
OR
iii) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45 % in case of SC/ST/OBC) and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
iv) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC)and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.

 

The candidates who pass the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET)- 2018 will be eligible for appointment as Primary Teacher for Classes I to V and for Elementary (Graduate) Teacher for Classes VI to VIII.

Only Local candidates of Sikkim are eligible to apply for Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test- 2018.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) -2018 will be conducted on 11th November, 2018 from 10:00 AM onwards. Both level I and Level II (i.e. for Primary and Graduate teacher) will be conducted on the same day.

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Human Resource Development Department, Sikkim — www.sikkimhrdd.org

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.400/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. See officially released advertisement for more details.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Human Resource Development Department, Sikkim — www.sikkimhrdd.org (See Application form’s link given below) on or before 07/10/2018.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it in two copies on plain A4 size paper. One copy of the print-out must be retained by the candidate for future references and the other copy is to be send along with attested copies of testimonials (qualification certificate/mark sheet, age proof, caste certificate, experience certificate if applicable and etc), at the below given address From 09/10/2018 to 12/10/2018.
