SCOUTS AND GUIDES QUOTA IN SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos.
GRADE PAY WISE VACANCIES:
(i) Grade pay Rs.1900/- : 02 posts (for HQ)
(ii) Grade pay Rs.1800/- : 08 posts (Adra Division-02, Chakradharpur Division-02, Kharagpur Division-02, Ranchi Division-02)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
(I) For Grade pay Rs.1900/- : 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (not requires for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen and candidates who possess higher qualification).
OR
A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent form a recognised Board and having ITI certificate for the posts of Artisans in Technical Categories.
Age limit: Minimum-18 and maximum- 28 years as on 01.01.2018
(II) For Grade pay Rs.1800/- : 10th pass form a recognised Board with National Apprenticeship certificate granted by NCVT or 10th pass form a recognised Board with ITI for appointment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and S&T departments.
10th pass or ITI or equivalent from a recognised Board for appointment in other departments.
Age limit: Minimum-18 and maximum- 31 years as on 01.01.2018
SCOUTING/ GUIDING QUALIFICATIONS:
(a) A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
(b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts/ Guides organisation for the last 5 years.
(c) Should have attended at least two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level and two events at State level.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of Written test, Scouting Skill, Marks on certificates.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PWD, Women, Minorities & Economic Backward Classes) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order / Bank Draft drawn in favour of FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, payable at at GPO/ Kolkata. Candiates must write their name, full address at the back side of IPO.
