South Western Railway is recruiting 338 Act Apprentice in the following trades – Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Electrician and Ref A/C Mechanic in Carriage Repair Workshop under Apprentice Act-1961. SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY INVITES APPLICATION FOR 338 ACT APPRENTICES FOR CARRIAGE REPAIR WORKSHOP. LAST DATE — 24/04/2015

 

ACT APPRENTICE UNDER APPRENTICES ACT-1961
Trade wise vacancies are as follows—

(i) Fitter: 176 Nos. (Gen—89; SC—26; ST—13 & OBC—48)
(ii) Machinist: 15 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—2; ST—1 & OBC—4)
(iii) Turner: 20 Nos. (Gen—10; SC—3; ST—2 & OBC—5)
(iv) Welder: 87 Nos. (Gen—44; SC—13; ST—7 & OBC—23)
(v) Electrician: 25 Nos. (Gen—13; SC—3; ST—2 & OBC—7)
(vi) Ref A/C Mechanic: 15 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—2; ST—1 & OBC—4)

Educational Qualification (for all above trades): Class 10/Matriculation passed and ITI passed in relevant trade.
Candidates awaiting result are not eligible to apply.

 

Age Limit (for all above trades): 15 to 24 years as on 24.04.2015. The upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years; OBC is 3 years and others as per govt. norms.

 

Mode of selection: Selection of the candidates will be on basis of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Metric or 10th standard then called for documents/Physical verification and Physical fitness test. Exact Date, Time and venue for examination will be intimated in due course.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with two self addressed envelopes (11” x 5”) duly affixing stamp of Rs.5/- on each (No postal Stamps for SC/ST/PH candidates) and photocopies of all self attested documents i.e. Age Proof, Qualification, Caste Certificate etc, should be send or dropped in drop box at the below given address.

 

Last Date and Address: The duly filled application form and two recent passport size photograph signed by candidates along with enclosures shall reach on or before 24.04.2015 (5pm) at the Welfare Section of the Office of the Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage Repair Workshop, South Western Railway, Gadag Road, Hubli-58 020 (KARNATAKA) through Ordinary post or in person at the drop-box.
