42 Boys and Girls in Indian Railways’ Mechanical Division as “Special Class Railway Apprentice.

Central Government of India – Indian Railway is recruiting 42 nos. Boys and girls for the work purpose in Mechanical Division as “Special Class Railway Apprentice”. –

Vacancies: 42 nos. Among them 4 seats is reserved for PH candidates

Age : candidates should be within 17 years to 21 years as on dated-1/1/2012. Age relaxation for OBC candidate-03 years, SC/ST candidates-05 years and PH candidates-10 years.

First or Second-Class Higher Secondary Pass Boys and Girls with Subjects – Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry may apply to enrol. Degree course pass candidates With Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry were also eligible to apply.
Five years of degree course in engineering course pass or have pass the first year of the course may also apply. Candidates who have pass with first or second division in Pre-Engineering exam may also apply.

Candidate will be selected by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through “2012-Special Class Railway Apprentice Examination”. First there will be written test which may hold on 29 January, 2012 at the following centres – Kolkata, Gangtok, Cuttack, Dispur (Guwahati), Shillong, Jorhat, Ranchi, Patna, Agartala and Port Blair.
Written Test will be in three papers – (1) General Ability Test of 200 marks of two hours, (2) Physical Science (Physics and chemistry) of 200 marks of two hours, (3) Mathematics of 200 marks of two hours. Questions will be Objective Type, if selected then will be called for Personality Test of 200 marks.

How to Apply: Application can be made by on one system from the following official website –http://upsconline.nic.in.
Before applying online, candidates should deposit the exam fee of Rs. 100 through any branch of State Bank of India or willing candidates may also opt to pay the exam fee through online system. No fee required for female candidate, PH candidates and SC/ST candidates.
After submitting the online Application Form, a computer-generated registration form with unique Registration number and ID will appear on the screen; print out this registration form and keep safely for further use. There is no need to send any document by post.

Last date to Apply: application should be made online within 21 November, 2011.
