SPORTS PERSONS
No. of Vacancies: 21 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Athletics: 06 posts (Men-02, Women-04)
ii) Basket Ball: 02 posts (Women)
iii) Bodybuilding: 01 post (Men)
iv) Cycling: 02 posts (Men)
v) Volley Ball: 03 posts (Men)
vi) Swimming: 02 posts (Men)
vii) Table Tennis: 01 post (Men)
viii) Hockey: 04 posts (Men)
Educational Qualification: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from recognized Institutions.
OR
Matriculation plus Course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and below 25 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.1900/ 2000/-
Sports Eligibility:
i) Represented the country in Olympics Games (Senior Category).
OR
ii) Represented the country in in International Championships/ events either in World Cup (Junior/ Senior Category)/ World Championships (Junior/ Senior Category)/ Asian Games (Senior Category)/ Common Wealth Games (Senior Category).
OR
iii) Obtained at least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior Category)/ Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category)/ South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior Category)/ USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category).
OR
iv) Obtained at least 3rd position in Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championships.
OR
v) Obtained at least 3rd position in National games under the aegis of Indian Olympics Association.
OR
vi) Obtained at least 3rd position in All India Inter university Championship under the ageis of Association of Indian Universities.
OR
vii) Obtained 1st position in the Federation Cup Championship (Senior category).
Note: The candidates must be active sports persons and the sports achievements should be achieved on or after 01/04/2016.
The vacancies are against Sports Quota for the year 2018-19.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Trials & Assessment of Sports Achievements, Qualification, General Intellengence/ Personality, etc.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ PWD/ Women candidates/ Minorities & EBC as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of Assistant Personnel Officer/ HQ, South Western Railway, Hubballi, payable at Hubballi.
