Northern Railway, Delhi Division, is inviting application from the eligible Male Sportsperson for 5 Nos. vacancies against sports quota for the year 2013-14. Employment Notice No. : 400E/118/Sports/Rectt./Delhi Division/2013-14. Candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —
SPORTS QUOTA VACANCIES FOR MALE SPORTSPERSON
Total vacancies — 5 Nos.
Eligible Sports discipline are as follows —
1. Athletic (Position — 5000 Mtrs.): 1 Nos.
2. Basket Ball (Position — Pivot): 1 Nos.
3. Chess: 1 Nos.
4. Shooting (Rifle) (Position— 50 Mtrs.): 1 Nos.
5. Wrestling (free style) (Position— 74 Kg.): 1 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Class 10 Pass.
Sports Eligibility: Candidates must have represented the country in any on the events — Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior category), Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior category), South Asian Federation Games (senior category)
OR
Represented a state or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 25yrs as on 01/07/2013.
Selection of the candidates will be through Trial of sports performance and Interview-assessment of sports achievements, educational qualifications and other criteria for selection.
How to Apply: Apply on prescribed application format. The format can be downloaded from the website of Northern Railway — www.nr.indianrailways.gov.in (Link to Advt. and Application form is given below)
The format can be print-out/ neatly typed as per format on a good quality plain paper of A-4 size alongwith two latest passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted officer.
Attested copies of certificates regarding sports performance educational qualification, date of birth, Caste certificate should be sent along with the Character Certificate of the institution last attended, along with the Application form.
Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.40/- through a Crossed Indian Postal Order payable at New Delhi in the name of Divisional Sports Association, Northern Railway, Delhi Division.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from payment of application fee.
