SSC EASTERN REGION INVITES APPLICATION FOR 83 POSTS OF ASSISTANT, INVESTIGATOR, DATA PROCESSING ASSISTANT, ETC. LAST DATE — 20/07/2015

 

1. Assistant Archivist (Oriental Records): 02 Nos. (Gen—01 & OBC—01)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in History or equivalent with an optional paper in Persian language at Degree level OR Master’s Degree in Persian or equivalent with an optional paper in Indian History.
And good knowledge of Persian Shikastah script with Diploma in Archival studies or knowledge of Archival Science with two years’ experience of Research/Teaching/Work in a Government Record Office. Candidate should also have English as one of the subjects of study at degree level of a recognized University or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4200/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

2. Assistant Archivist (General): 23 Nos. (Gen—12; OBC—08; SC—02 & ST—01)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in History with an optional paper in Indian History or equivalent and Diploma in Archival studies.
OR Candidate should have 2 years’ experience of Research in Modern Indian History and English as one of the subjects of study at degree level of a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification: Experience of Research in Modern Indian History/teaching of Modern Indian History in a recognized educational institution (For diploma holders in Archival studies).
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4200/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

3. Data Processing Assistant: 22 Nos. (Gen—12; OBC—06 & SC—04)
Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University with Science, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Statistics or equivalent with Diploma or Certificate in Computer Application from a Government recognized institution or knowledge of programming, system operations and systems analysis to be judged through suitable tests.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- per month and Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years.

 

4. Scientific Assistant (Mechanical): 04 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics (pure or applied) or degree in Mechanical Engineering/Metallurgy of a recognized university or equivalent with Two years experience in a Mechanical Testing laboratory.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4600/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

5. Scientific Assistant (PRT): 02 Nos. (Gen—01 & ST—01)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics (pure or applied) or Chemistry (Pure or Applied or Industrial) or degree in Textile Technology or degree in Rubber Technology or degree in Plastic Engineering or degree in Polymer and Rubber Technology of recognized university or equivalent with Two years experience in a laboratory engaged in the testing of Textile/Rubber/Plastic/Paper/Leather and their products.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4600/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

6. Scientific Assistant (Electrical): 02 Nos. (Gen—01 & PWD—01)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics (pure or applied) or Chemistry (Pure or Applied or Industrial) or degree in Textile Technology or degree in Rubber Technology or degree in Plastic Engineering or degree in Polymer and Rubber Technology of recognized university or equivalent with Two years experience of advance Electrical or Electronics Measurement in a laboratory.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4600/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

7. Investigator Grade-II: 02 Nos. (OBC)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Commerce as one of the subjects from a recognized University with Certificate/Diploma Course in Computer Operation or software from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualification: Master’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Commerce from a recognized University with Two years experience in collection, compilation and analysis of data in any Government organization.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4200/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

8. Metrological Assistant: 02 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics/Computer/Instrumentation Engineering of a recognized University/Institutions or equivalent.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4200/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

9. Assistant (Architectural Department): 24 Nos. (Gen—12; OBC—07; SC—03 & ST—01)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Architecture from a recognized University or Institute
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.4200/- per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

 

Age Limits & Relaxation: The age mentioned above will be counted as on the closing date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview/Personality Test/ Proficiency Test/Skill Test.
