EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Matriculation/ Madhyamik pass or Class 10 pass from a recognized board/university.

 

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Male candidates: Height—170 cms (162.5cms for ST); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—80/ 85cms (76/81cms for ST); Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Female candidates: Height—157 cms (150cms for ST); Chest — Not Applicable; Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards

For cut-off in physical standards in case of candidates from Hill areas and Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Laddakh regions of J&K, please refer the advt. link given below.

 

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST:-
(i) For Male Candidates: 5 Kms in 24 minutes.
(ii) For Female Candidates: 1.6 Kms in 8 ½ minutes

 

AGE LIMIT:
18 to 23 years as on 01.08.2015, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.1997.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

PAY SCALE:
Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/- per month

 

Selection of the candidates will be through open examination which will be conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Physical Standards Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET) will be scheduled and conducted by the CAPFs.
The Commission will conduct written examination of candidates qualified in PST/PET in both ON-LINE (Computer based) and OFF-LINE (Paper mode) mode.
The Written Examination (online/offline), scheduled to be held on 04.10.2015. Examination Centre for West Bengal will be at – Kolkata, Midnapur, Jalpaiguri, Siliguri & Berhampore.

Offline Mode Payment: Candidates applying Offline from J&K, North-Eastern States and identified LWE affected and Border districts, shall pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
Online Mode Payment: Candidates from rest of States or candidates applying Online shall pay the Application Fee through any branch of SBI by means of fee challan or can be paid online using Debit/ Credit Card or Net banking.

NOTE: Application is to be made ONLINE. Only candidates from J&K, North-Eastern States and identified LWE affected and Border districts, may choose to apply Offline or Online.

SC/ ST, EX-SERVICEMAN AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES ARE EXEMPTED FROM PAYING APPLICATION FEE.
