1. SENIOR SCIENTIST AND HEAD
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (SC-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) 1st class or high 2nd class Master’s degree in the relevant subject or discipline followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Science/ Veterinary Science/ Fishery Science.
ii) A Doctoral degree in any branch of Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Science/ Fishery Science.
iv) Proven contribution to research/ teaching/ extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations.
Experience: Eight years’ experience.
Desirable: Knowledge of agricultural situation and problems of the farmers of the state.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 01/12/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400-67,000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 9,000/-
2. SUBJECT MATTER SPECIALIST
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos.
Subject wise vacancies:
i) Animal Science: 02 posts (Gen (PWD)- 01, ST-01)
ii) Soil Science: 01 post (ST)
iii) Agronomy: 01 post (Gen)
iv) Agril. Extension: 01 post (Gen (PWD))
Educational Qualification: 1st class or high 2nd class Master’s degree in the relevant subject/ discipline followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Science or Veterinary Science from a recognized University.
Desirable: Doctoral degree and/ or NET in the relevant subject/ field.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01/12/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
3. STENOGRAPHER GRADE-III
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (SC)
Educational Qualification: i) Passed H.S. or equivalent examination (10+2) with a Certificate of Stenography from a recognized Institution.
ii) Knowledge of Computer and its application.
iii) Steno/ typing speed @ 100/ 40 WPM.
iv) Proficiency in English and Bengali typing.
Desirable: Graduation with good communication skills in English, Bengali and Hindi.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/12/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400/-
4. SUBJECT MATTER SPECIALIST (AGROMETEOROLOGY)

Educational Qualification: i) Post Graduate in Agrometeorology/ Meteorology/ Agronomy/ Agricultural Physics.
ii) Preference will be given to candidate with Agrometeorology qualification.

5. AGROMET OBSERVER

Educational Qualification: Passed H.S. or equivalent examination in Science Stream.
Desirable: Knowledge about agrometeorology.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/12/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/-

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
