SUB-INSPECTOR OF FISHERIES
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos. (SC)
Educational Qualification:
i) Must possess the Associate Diploma in Fisheries Science of the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Bombay.
OR
ii) Must possess a Certificate of successful completion of the full course of Inland or Marine Fisheries classes.
OR
iii) Must possess a Diploma in Fisheries Technology and Navigation awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu.
OR
iv) Must possess a Science Degree with Zoology as main subject awarded by any recognised University/ Institution.
OR
v) Must possess a Degree of Bachelor of Fisheries Science awarded by any recognised University/ Institution.
Note: Preference shall be given to candidates who have completed one year of apprenticeship under the Government of India scheme or one year of training under the State Government Apprenticeship Scheme.
Age Limit: No maximum age limit as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.35,900 – 1,13,500/-
The vacancies are in Fisheries Department in the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Subordinate Service. The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
Only candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) category are eligible to apply for the above post.
Note: No maximum age limit shall mean that the candidates should not have completed 58 years of age.
For the above post candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Oral Test. The Examination will be held on 04/05/2019 at the following centres namely Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. Oral Test will be held tentatively in the month of July 2019.
