SUPREME COURT OF INDIA (SCI) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN. LAST DATE — 04.06.2018
ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN
Educational Qualification:
i) Degree in Library Science from a recognised University.
ii) Diploma in Computer Applications of a recognised university or Institute.
iii) Knowledge of Computer Operation in Library work. It includes-
(a) Knowledge and experience of working with any standard Library Automation Software for House Keeping activities in the library such as cataloguing, acquisition and circulation etc.
(b) Knowledge and experience of computerized search both of on-line and on-line databases including retrieval of desired information through various search engines/ processes.
Experience: Minimum two years experience in a Library of any Government organisation/ recognised Educational or Research Institution.
Age Limit: Below 30 years as on 01.05.2018
Basic Pay: Rs. 47600/- per month.
The vacancies are for Supreme Court Library. The candidates selected for the post will initially be on probation for a period of two years.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Test and Interview.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- in case of SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM candidates) as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft/ Pay Order drawn in favour of Registrar (Admn.), Supreme Court of India, payable at New Delhi.
