Cochin Shipyard Limited (P&A Department) is recruiting 641 Tradesmen (Semi-skilled) on contract basis in the trade of – Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Riggers, Fitter, Crane Operator, Mechanic, Electrician, Machinist, Painter, Shipwright Wood and Etc. ITI candidates who meets the below requirement may apply. Qualification norms and other information in brief is given below –

Sheet Metal Workers: 170 Nos.
Welder: 75 Nos.
Riggers: 40 Nos.
Crane Operators: 4 Nos.
Fitter Pipe: 1331 Nos.
Diesel Mechanic: 46 Nos.
Fitter: 30 Nos.
Instrument mechanic: 18 Nos.
Electrician: 53 Nos.
Electronic Mechanic: 13 Nos.
Shipwright Wood: 21 Nos.
Machinist: 4 Nos.
Painter: 36 Nos.
Qualification Required: SSLC Passed and ITI (NTC) in respective trade and must posses National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
Experience required: Minimum 3yrs of post qualification experience/ Training in a Shipyard or Engineering Industry.
Remuneration: Rs.7500/- per month plus overtime work compensation Rs.2280 per month.
Age Limits: within 30yrs as on 01/11/2012. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs and PH—10yrs.
Selection of the candidates will be through Walk-in-Interview and Practical Test on the below prescribed date. Contract period will be of two years.
Candidates should bring original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, experience, caste, identity and address proof etc and attested copies of those certificates.
