1. CHEMIST TRAINEE
No. of Vacancies: 13 Nos. (UR-09, SC-01, OBC-03)
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. (Chemistry) preferably in Analytical Chemistry with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates) from a recognized University/ Institute.
Experience: Minimum one year relevant post qualification work experience OR one year post qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer/ Chemical Industry of repute.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.13500-31000/-
2. OPERATOR TRAINEE
No. of Vacancies: 12 Nos. (UR-08, SC-01, OBC-03)
Educational Qualification: First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Technology with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates) from a recognized University/ Institute.
Experience: Minimum 05 years’ post qualification experience in operation/ process in a large petrochemical plant or a major petrochemical unit within a petroleum refinery.
The period of apprenticeship training shall also be considered against experience.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.13500-31000/-
3. GENERAL WORKMAN-B (TRAINEE) – CHEMICAL

Educational Qualification: First Class Diploma in Instrument Technology OR Instrumentation & Control OR Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates) from a recognized University/ Institute.
Experience: Minimum one year relevant post qualification work experience OR one year post qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer/ Engineering Industry of repute.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/10/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.11500-20000/-
Note:
i) For Chemist Trainee post, candidates having Post Graduation degree in any other discipline or any qualification equivalent to M.Sc (Chemistry) are not eligible to apply.
ii) Candidates possessing higher qualification than Diploma in Engineering such as AMIE/ B.E./ B.Tech. or similar/ equivalent are not eligible to apply for the posts of Operator Trainee and General Workman-B (Trainee). However, Bachelor of Science/ Arts after Diploma in Engineering would not be considered as higher qualification.
The vacancies are for Kochi Refinery.
Only Male candidates are eligible to apply for the above posts. Candidates domiciled in the state of Kerala will be preferred.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Skill Test and Medical Test. The Written Test will be conducted at Kochi. The tentative date of the written test will be during the 2nd or 3rd week of December, 2018.
