West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (WBSETCL) is recruiting 102 candidates for the post of – “Technical Support Hand (TSH)”. Madhyamik pass candidates with ability to read & write in Bengali or Nepali may apply for the post on the prescribed application form. Notification No. REC/2013/02. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below —

1. Technical Support Hand (TSH): Total — 102 Nos.
Distribution of post according to Category wise: [General–33, General(EC)–16, SC–14, SC(EC)–7, ST–3, ST(EC)–2, OBC(A)–6, OBC(A)(EC)–3,OBC(B)–4, OBC(B)(EC)–2, Meritorious Sportsperson–2, Ex-Serviceman–10{General–5, SC–2, ST–1, OBC(A)–1, OBC(B)–1}].

Qualification Required: Madhyamik or equivalent pass with good health and physique. Candidates must have ability to read & write Bengali/ Nepali and basic knowledge in English.

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—Rs.9200 and Grade pay – Rs.1700/- plus other allowances such as House Rent/ Medical / Electricity allowances and Etc.

Age Limits: Between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs and OBC—3yrs. Ex-serviceman and others—as per norms.
N.B: SC/ST/OBC candidates from the States other than West Bengal shall apply as General candidates only.

Reservation will be given to Meritorious Sportsperson for following sports only —
1) Football
2) Cricket
3) Athletic

Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Written Test and Interview. Candidates as per Fitness Test will be called for Written Test and then finally qualified candidates from Written Test will go for Interview.

Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the post must deposit Application fee of Rs.150 only. Fee is to be deposited from any branch of United Bank of India in West Bengal through Fee Payment Challan. Fee challan can be print-out from the official website of WBSETCL (live link is given below).
Bank will charge Rs.22/- for transaction which candidates should pay additionally.
SC/ST candidates of West Bengal need not to pay Application fee.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates must apply on prescribed application form. Application form can be print-out from the official website (Link given below)
Application form should be enclosed with Self-attested copies of documents and testimonials in support of Educational Certificate (Madhyamik certificate), Age proof certificate, Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC), Discharge Certificate (in case of X- Serviceman), Sports certificate (for sportsperson), Fee Challan (WBSETCL’s copy of the Challan).

Candidates must superscribe the application form containing envelope with – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT HAND (TSH)”.
Candidates must send the application form only through Ordinary post. Application form through Speed post/ Registered post or Courier will be rejected.

N.B: Application fee can be deposited till 19/03/2013 from any branch of UBI bank.
