RECRUITMENT OF MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS UNDER SPORTS QUOTA
Total Number of Vacancies: 25 Nos.

(1) FOOTBALL (Male only)
– Striker: 02
– Wing Half: 01
– Central Midfielder: 01
– Stopper: 01
– Goal Keeper: 01

(2) CRICKET (Male only)
– Fast Bowler cum All rounder: 02
– Left Arm Spinner: 01
– Off Spinner cum Batsman: 01
– Opening Batsman: 01
– Middle Order Batsman: 01

(3) ATHLETICS
– Short Distance Runner: 01
– Long Distance Runner: 01
– Javelin/ Short-put Thrower: 01

(4) BADMINTON – 02 NOS.

(5) TENNIS: 02 NOS.

(6) TABLE TENNIS: 02 NOS.

(7) WRESTLING: 01 NO.

 

Based on Educational Qualification and Field Level Trials/ Interview, candidates will be absorbed in the following posts –

1) Office Executive: Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation or in HS level AND recognized Computer Course of minimum one year duration. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Pay Scale: Rs.6300 – Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/-

 

2) Junior Operator cum Technical Assistant: Madhyamik or equivalent AND ITI/NAC Electronic/Mechanic/Wireman/
Electrician. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Pay Scale: Rs.6300 – Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/-

 

3) Lineman/ ITI Trainee: Madhyamik or equivalent AND ITI (2 years duration) in Wireman or Electrician.
Pay Scale: Rs.6300 – Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/-

 

4) Technical Support Hand: Class 10 pass and ability to read/write Bengali/Nepali and elementary English. Candidates should be physically fit.
Pay Scale: Rs.4900 – Rs.9200/-  and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/-

 

SPORTS ELIGIBILITY:
a. b. c. d. Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01.01.2015. Upper age relaxation for SC / ST and OBC candidates of West Bengal for 5 years and 3 years respectively. Note: SC/ST, OBC candidates of other States will be treated as unreserved candidates.

 

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of candidates will be done by the Special Selection Committee through FIELD LEVEL TRIALS and

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.300/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd., payable at Kolkata.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CATEGORIES. SC/ST and OBC candidates will be treated as Unreserved candidates.
