SENIOR AYURVEDIC MEDICAL OFFICER – 32 Nos
Educational Qualification –
- A five years degree in Ayurved from a University established by law or a statutory Board or Examining body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970
- Knowledge of Bengali- Spoken and Written
- Candidate must be registered either in Part A of the State Registrar of Ayurvedic Medical Practitioners maintained by the Paschim Banga Ayurvedic Parishad or in Part I of the Central Registrar maintained by the Central Council of Indian medicine.
Desirable Qualification
- A Post Graduate qualification in Ayurveda from a recognized University,
- Six months experience as House Staff at Ayurvedic Medical Officer in a recognized Ayurvedic Institution or Hospital.
- Five years experience as a Registered Ayurvedic Practitioner
Age –
- Not more than 40 years on the 1st day of January of the year of advertisement,
Pay Scale –
- Level 16, Cell 1, Rs.56100/- as per ROPA 2019 PB – 4A, Rs.15,600- 42,000/- Grade Pay – Rs.5,400/-as per ROPA 2009. Other allowances are admissible as per Govt. Rules.
Upper Age Relaxation-
- “Age relaxation may be given for a maximum period of 5 years” for those candidates who are rendering full-time service for 5 years or more as contractual Senior Ayurvedic Medical Officer or Ayurvedic Medical Officer in State under Health & Family Welfare Deptt., Govt. of West Bengal.
Candidates’ Selection:
- A candidate should verify from the notified eligibility criteria to ascertain whether he/ she is eligible for submission of an application. The conditions prescribed cannot be relaxed. The recruitment will be made by selection(direct recruitment) following the method specified below. However, if many applications are received as a result of the Advertisement, the Board for the purpose of short-listing may hold a preliminary examination.
